Life or Meth?

I found this post on a blog, and asked the author if I could republish it here.  We’ll have a former meth addict discuss these images in future posts.

Life or Meth

.

A woman who worked as a 911 operator told me that
whenever someone calls to report a bad smell, they
know there is probably either a dead body or a meth lab.
.
When the police arrive at a house or apartment where
there is a meth lab, if there is something on the stove, they
wait for the fire department to secure the area, because
it can explode. She said sometimes the people in the house
or apartment are already dead because of the fumes.
.
Paramedics have to take any children found at the scene.
Since they’re contaminated by the poisons they’ve been breathing,
they cannot take anything with them, not even clothes or toys.
.
I looked up ingredients for crank and learned that there
are 6 or 7 pounds of toxic waste left over after the creation
of one pound of the drug. The rest of the poisons are for your body.

the Crystal Meth Curse

I met a girl, a woman, who was a meth user. She was the daughter of a
neighbor. By the time we met, she had lost her marriage and her three
children. A year after that, she was sleeping on couches and doing what
it took to get drugs. She denied using meth. She said she was only arrested
because someone was cooking it in her house. She said the smell was
strong enough to peel paint off the walls. She injected it.
.
That woman is not the woman in this series of photos. I originally
doubted that they were real, because the devastation was so complete.
But, I have seen people who look like this. There are far too many.

Now, I’m not sure where the trail began. Thanks to those who posted links
that allowed me to find the photos and links I’ve posted here.

Meth seems horrible to all involved. The sad thing is that you can also be affected without even knowing it by moving into an apartment complex where a meth lab is, inhaling all the toxins. Also many people have been documented to move into homes that used to be meth houses passing along helath detriments to their loved ones and pets. Find out is there was a meth lab found near you at http://www.homefacts.com/
